Product Highlights: BioBedding Tropical Bioactive Substrate

BioBedding Tropical is a unique blend of organic and inorganic ingredients, trace elements, and beneficial fungi that jumpstarts the bioactive environment in your enclosure. It promotes plant growth, maintains humidity, and provides a substrate your pets can dig and lay eggs in.

BioBedding Tropical is ideal for a variety of tropical species, including crested geckos, day geckos, fat-tailed geckos, chameleons, tree frogs, water dragons, tegus, tropical snakes and lizards, as well as tarantulas and other invertebrates.

No drainage layer is required when using BioBedding Tropical with light or hand misting. For automatic misting setups, use it in conjunction with a Josh's Frogs False Bottom and a Substrate Barrier.

To use, simply add dechlorinated or reverse osmosis water until the substrate sticks together when squeezed, but no water runs out. Terrestrial plants can be planted directly into BioBedding Tropical.

Maintenance involves stirring the surface every 1-2 weeks to bury any visible waste, allowing the microfauna to process it. Replace the substrate when it begins to break down, typically after several years.
